Back form a Long Winters Nap

After the Christmas Rush I needed a break. I took some much needed time to work on my own projects and rejuvenate my creative spirits. I had this vision a long time ago and because of family life and creating for others I put it on the back burner. I am happy post my latest vinylcreation. I love it and so excited with the new found possibilities of vinyl.
The Before

And the after!
When we moved into our house it was full of brass and pink. The tile and cabinets had been done in the last 5 years so I decided to just remodel. I couldn't tear the ugly tile down with out incurring a lot of extra cost so I covered it with vinyl. Yes, you read it right I covered my tile with big strips of vinyl. Then I painted my oak cabinet (don't tell my dad!) Then we spray painted the brass light fixtures. I then added puzzles that we modge podged and stickers that we put on canvas. I love the new look and it was super cheap and easy with the vinyl. The vinyl sayings gave it the perfect finishing touch. My bathroom and kitchen are next!

Job Chart

I think every family goes through a dozen before they are through raising kids. We are no different and this job chart has no guarantee but it is cute and lends itself to many options. It has blank spots for more jobs to be assigned. It also is magnetic and can be used as a magnet board as well. I just bought a white board at Walmart modge podge photos on 5x7 canvas decorated them personlized their message and ta da our new job chart board. The idea is no yelling they check their jobs off every day and then at the end of the week they can earn a reward.

New Fun Idea

My Favorite

Mothers Day, Wedding, teacher appreciation, or Drill Team center pieces. This craft was desperation turned to inspiration. The best part is it is under $10.00.

Personalized duct tape bag

Follow the link above to see how creative this 11 year old girl is. She makes duct tape bags and totes. She customized a scripture tote for my son for his birthday and then I added the vinyl to personalize it. I love how it turned out. These bags are durable and she makes them to earn money for her softball fund. I think it is great that she is responsible and wants to help earn her own money. Definitely a quality that not many kids her age possess.
